The Prayer House Worship & Creatives Course (May 2, 2019 to October 31, 2019)
The Prayer House Worship & Creatives Course is a six-month course aimed at equipping, raising, and releasing a generation to serve God and His people—not only with skill, but with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. The course is aimed at producing skilled and spiritually mature worship leaders, vocalists, musicians, music directors, sound engineers, lighting technicians, stage designers and managers, graphics and media personnel, photographers, and videographers. The course seeks to raise up and equip worshipers—not superstars—who will do whatever it takes to lead people into the presence of God and see the Kingdom of God advance.
The course is designed and taught by a collection of experienced worship leaders and professional musicians, as well as formally trained ministry leaders and pastors, all of whom are well respected within the church of Rwanda and beyond. The Academic Director recently returned from Hillsong Bible College in Sydney, Australia, where she graduated from a two-year program in Ministry with a major in Worship & Creatives. Participants will also benefit from direct engagement with local Christian leaders, worship leaders, and pastors, who will provide additional training, instruction, mentoring, and discipleship.
Before any technical training, the course will require students to first examine their hearts. Through engaging and interactive teaching, students will be challenged to develop a biblical understanding of ministry as a foundation for ministry. Students must recognize that the foundation for all ministry is a love for God and His people—we must love God’s people to effectively lead them in worship.
With this as a foundation, all students will participate in a series of mandatory core classes.
Students will join one of three streams, where they will enjoy a series of specialized classes according to their areas of interest and/or gifting.
Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The day stream will run from 9:00am to 1:00pm, while the evening stream will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Classes will begin on May 2, 2019. The course fee is 300,000 RWF, payable in three installments. The language of instruction is English. Please note that admission is limited and that by submitting an application you are not guaranteed a place in the course.
